What is it?
My name is Allen Anderson. The inventor of “HennWae? £3±” and “Internet Search Bait”
HennWae started as a joke, but it did not stay there very long.
You know the old "henway" wordplay gag we played as kids. Somebody says something like "hand me the henway," and the other person eventually asks "what's a henway?" That is the trap. The answer is "about three pounds."
That was the memory seed that started all this the other day. As a math guy, I am started playing with the word henway for some reason, and a little formula came out of the whole idea: HennWae? £3±
HennWae? gets people to ask the age old question, what's a hen weigh. The £3± answers it. Three pounds, give or take.
The funny part is: The £3 part happened by complete accident! I use speech recognition, and when I said "three pounds," it gave me the pound symbol and the number 3. Then I had an idea to make the words look familiar but not, kind of like a product name and model number.
The joke was further obliged to not reveal the punchline, or the hen weigh, or what it is, or anything like that until you get to this site. The idea was to give people just enough to wonder and search the internet, where I would dominate the one word easily.
HennWae? ——— That is Search Bait.
Search Bait is not clickbait. Clickbait tricks people into clicking and gives them nothing. Search bait gives people a real reason to be curious, then gives them somewhere real to land when they look it up.
So I built the landing spot as my T-shirt business and it appears to be working.
The HennWae page is not just a random page with a joke on it. It is part of the project. The wording, the layout, the code injection, the SEO structure, the searchable text, the graphics, the shirts, the videos, the Urban Dictionary work, and the Dave & Sally Stuff connection are all pieces of the same trail.
The word goes out into the world. Curiosity brings people back.
A made up word. A hidden formula. A search trail. A website. A shirt. Bread crumbs.
And honestly, the whole thing is supposed to be fun. That is still the top of the list. If it is not fun, it misses the point.
But there is a practical side too. The shirts are the product. The website is the engine. The search bait brings people in. If enough people like the idea, it can turn into passive income instead of just another joke that disappears.
And if it grows past that, the bigger idea is to point it toward helping people. I do not need a giant pile of money just to have a giant pile of money. If something like this works, it can become a way to fund good things, support charity, help people connect, and build something useful without losing the fun that made it work in the first place.
That is why HennWae is not only a joke page. It is a joke, a formula, a search experiment, a shirt idea, an SEO test, a Dave & Sally Stuff project, and maybe one small piece of something bigger.
It started with:
HennWae?
And the answer is still:
Three pounds, give or take.
HennWea? £3±
Hennwae? Search = Nada. You searched a word that did not exist. Now you're here! Sweet. The Great Hennwae Experiment: A made-up word, a real website, A real Mission, and one question — can you build something out of nothing?
